Ministries

Ladies Ministry

The Women’s Ministry is a vital ministry of the church which is  exclusively for women  of all ages who connect with each other as well as challenging one another to grow in Christlikeness.

The ministry organizes meetings such as breakfast meetings, banquets, prayer, retreats, information seminars and workshops relevant to the needs of the women, the church and the community. It promotes unity involving other ministries in their programs and it’s relevant in the blessing of the church and the poor.

Men's Ministry

Provides opportunities for spiritual growth and leads men to Christ and disciple them towards finding the fullness of their potential in Christ. Encourage men that they develop spiritually, draw closer to God and become leaders.

Men’s ministry has programs including meeting on Saturday mornings for breakfast fellowship, prayer, seminars, sports, vacation and other issues concerning the male experience. Coaching is another feature that offers several possibilities. It is a way of making sure we affect the lives of others for the better, which ideally helps them to understand and walk with Our Savior for life.

Youth Ministry

This Ministry for youth, 12-18 years equip Christ-following youth to be the next generation of leaders. At  CCBC, Junior High (Gr.6-8) and Senior High (Gr. 9-12) students come together for fellowship and sometimes meet/connect throughout the week. Through music, prayer, diving into the Bible and various activities, conferences, field trips,  seminars and games they move together on the journey towards spiritual maturity and honouring Jesus well.

Young Adults

This Ministry caters to young adults aged 18-25. This is a group of Young Adults that meet regularly for moments of discussion, reflection, prayer, field trips, fellowship as well as participation in conferences, seminars, pageants and in special events in the church calendar.  It serves the young adult community by connecting college and university students as well as young career professionals and providing a place where tough questions can be asked and explored.  This Ministry is designed to prepare young persons for the challenges of life.  They meet at a time of their choosing to discuss relevant issues, study the Bible, pray and attend and/or organize information sessions, workshops and seminars for their spiritual growth.

Sunday School (or Children's church)

The Sunday School Ministry includes the Nursery. Sunday school aims at making children understand the meaning of the stories and happenings in the Bible. This Ministry provides an age-appropriate curriculum for the learning of God’s Word through interactive and visual Bible lessons, drama, singing and prayer. This Ministry is indispensable particularly at this time for these reasons:

  • Sunday School helps children respect, appreciate and utilize the Bible
  • Sunday School teaches children how to navigate the Bible.
  • Sunday School gives kids an opportunity to ask questions and express themselves in public speaking in a comfortable environment.
  • Sunday School develops a community of believers.
  • Sunday School plants spiritual seeds which grow into maturity.

Missions

CCBC supports and participate with organizations, churches and ministries engaged in a variety of kingdom work around the world. Partnership extends far beyond finances and visits, and includes regularly praying for our missions and encouraging them through conversations, emails, or letters. Our support includes Tanzania, Uganda, Bulgaria, Ghana, DRC, France and Belgium.

Water Baptism

We have observed that through crises, calamities and challenges in life, the world is being filled with millions of people who are on a spiritual journey. Many are not yet ready to attend church or make a decision to follow Christ, but they are open to discussions or relationships and to making small decisions that will move them closer to Christ.  If we redefine evangelism to mean leading each person we encounter a step closer to Jesus, we would approach outreach with more gentleness and confidence. We are mindful that we must start in our homes then with “our Jerusalem then Samaria and eventually to the uttermost parts of the world”.  In CCBC evangelism has taken various forms in the church, door-to-door pamphlets outreach, in evangelism weekend crusades,  in Solemn Assemblies  and to be “sowing” through acts of love and hospitality in our neighborhood through the Raven Ministry. This is an on-going ministry.
